Vice President, Assured Partners, Former Major League Baseball Player

Mike O’Connor is a Vice President at Assured Partners, which is the 11th largest insurance brokerage in the country and provides Property & Casualty Insurance, Employment Benefits, Bonding, Personal and Life Insurance. Assured Partners helps Public and Privately owned Businesses, Private Equity firms, Family Offices, High Net Worth Individuals and Professional Athletes with their insurance needs throughout the country. 

Mike was drafted in 7th round in 2002 by the Montreal Expos and played professional baseball for 12 seasons and retired in 2014. He played 4 seasons in the MLB with the Washington Nationals and the New York Mets and also played in Triple-A with San Diego, Kansas City Royals, New York Yankees and Minnesota Twins organizations. 

Mike stays active in the community and is involved with Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland, the Maryland State Athletic Hall of Fame and the Major League Baseball Alumni Association. Additionally, he served on the Business Advisory Council for the Comptroller of the State of Maryland, Peter Franchot. 

Mike graduated from the George Washington University in 2002 with a degree in Finance. He lives in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife, Courtney, daughter, Olivia, and son Brooks.
