KEEPING YOUTH SPORTS WITHIN REACH.
Across the DMV, community-based sports organizations are working to ensure that every child has access to the benefits of sports, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. As costs continue to rise, these organizations face growing pressure to balance affordable participation with the resources needed to deliver safe, high-quality programming.
Through its Youth Sports Collaborative, Fight For Children strengthens 37 leading community organizations that collectively serve more than 45,000 young people each year. By investing in organizational capacity, leadership, and collaboration, we help these organizations expand access, reduce barriers, and ensure more young people can experience the lifelong benefits of sports.
Investing In The Future of youth sports.
Across the DMV, thousands of young people rely on community-based sports programs for far more than athletic opportunities. These programs provide safe spaces, trusted mentors, leadership development, academic support, and a sense of belonging that helps young people succeed on and off the field.
