Kelsey Nicole Nelson aka “KNN” is a national award-winning sports media host/reporter and personality. Kelsey is commonly seen and heard on Fox Sports Radio 1340 AM/96.9 FM where she hosts her own radio show/podcast, “Listen In With KNN.” Today she works as a talent for MLBbro.com and as an on-air host and contributor for Bally Sports National. For Bally Sports, Kelsey hosted the “Last Night Tonight” NBA series.

Kelsey has appeared on top stations and publications such as WHUR, CBC Canada, 105.7 & 106.7 “The Fan,” Cleveland 19 News, Bleacher Report, NBC Sports Washington, Peacock TV, SNY TV/New York Post, WWL Radio, FOX 5 DC, BBC News in London and with companies like Events DC.

Kelsey has worked with ESPN Radio, NASCAR, SB Nation, DC Radio, the Big East Digital Network, the Washington Commanders, Arena Football League. Kelsey served as a host of the Sports Smarts podcast series for the National Sports Media Association. Kelsey currently serves as the VP for the Washington Association of Black Journalists and a committee lead for the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) Sports Committee. She also serves as the Co-Chair of the Mentorship Committee, for the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) Sports Task Force.

Most recently, Kelsey was named a National AfterSchool Association 2022 Next Generation of Afterschool Leaders honoree and to the Terrapin Club 30 Under 30 Class of 2022 at the University of Maryland. Kelsey has also been recognized as an outstanding global leader by the Global Oved Dei Seminary and University (GODSU). Kelsey was also named the 2022 D.C. Media Person of the Year by the Washington Chiefs Inc. and previously was named the DMV Sports Media Person of the Year.

Kelsey currently works as a capstone advisor for the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies. She also works as a mentor with the Multicultural Career Intern Program (MCIP) and volunteers with Special Olympics International. She is also a member of the Regional Advisory Board for the Tickets for Kids nonprofit. Kelsey is also an ambassador for the Natalia Me-gan Hair and Beauty brand and is the Founder, President, and CEO of KryptiaNN LLC, a media and communications consulting company. Kelsey is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and a graduate of the Philip H. Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland-College Park and Georgetown University.
