Youth Sports Day

A city-wide celebration of play, sport, and community

Over 2,000 kids and families join our annual back-to-school celebration, connecting with free, high-quality afterschool sports programs and sharing in the joy of community across DC.

When: August 15, 2026
Where: Washington, D.C.
Cost: 100% FREE for all families
Attendance: 1,800+ families in 2025

Fight Night (1990 - 2019)

A fundraising extravaganza

For more than 30 years, Fight Night was the signature philanthropic event that helped launch and define Fight For Children. What began as a bold idea around a boxing ring became the grassroots foundation of FFC—bringing together Washington, DC’s business, civic, and community leaders in support of underserved youth. While Fight Night is now retired, its impact lives on.
